We honor and pride ourselves on creating aquatic atmospheres that appear to have been built by Mother Nature herself. Our Ecosystem Ponds become part of the natural environment and homes to all types of aquatic plants, fish, frogs, and microorganisms.
How It Works.
Filtration System - A mechanical filter (Skimmer) removes large and floating debris while the biological filter (Biofalls) provides an area for all kinds of beneficial bacteria to colonize and breakdown organic material.
Rocks & Gravel - The rocks and gravel found inside a natural Ecosystem Pond provide more than just the natural look. They give the beneficial bacteria in the pond a greater surface area to collect and break down excess nutrients and leaves off the pond floor. When rocks and gravel cover the liner in the pond they keep it safe from UV light degradation preventing unnecessary wear and tear.
Circulation System - The pump and waterfall keep the pond water moving and recirculating throughout the system. This provides oxygen in the water to support healthy fish, plant, and bacteria.
Fish - Fish feed on string algae and produce nutrients for the plants. Not to mention they make great pets!
Plants - Plants are a natural filter and are essential to provide color and beauty to your pond. They also protect fish from predators above by giving them a place to hide.
